Livigno

Livigno in B&B, excursions, trips and sports activities in summer and winter.

Livigno is 1,816 metres above sea level and therefore one of the most famous and sort after destinations in the Italian Alps, ideal for active or relaxing family holidays. Livigno is famous for its ski slopes located on both sides of the valley, its Aquagranda spa where you can enjoy a wide range of sports while surrounded by a unique and enchanting landscape.

It is also famous for its duty-free shopping along the prestigious 10km main-street where you will find exclusive designer labels and a wide choice of leading brands. This, combined with the many services on offer for tourists, ensures your stay will be memorable.

Here are some of the activities on offer during your stay in our B&B in Livigno:

Freeride

Over the past few years, more and more freeriders coming from all over the world in search of the perfect off-piste runs are choosing Livigno as their destination. The innovative Freeride Project, the only one in Italy, which was immediately copied by other resorts. The highlight of the Livigno Freeride Project was the local daily information given regarding snow cover in addition to the regional avalanche bulletins of Arpa di Bormio and of the Swiss WSL Institute for Snow and Avalanche Research SLF. This innovation allows skiers to have up-to-the-minute information every morning regarding the local conditions via the Apt Livigno (Livigno Tourist Information Centre) website, billboards posted on the ski lifts as well as a newsletter sent to all the tour operators.

Fat Bike

Fat bikes are this year's big thing: they are bikes with "fat" tires, in other words they are bigger and stronger than normal MTB and allow you to ride on the snow. Try them on the specially designed Valandrea and Val Federia Forest trails or on the winter slope that extends over 20km. Fat bikes are allowed on the Valandrea chairlift. On-site hire and experienced guides are available to accompany you on your ride, even at night with a stop-off at a typical mountain lodge to have dinner.

Shopping

Livigno is a duty-free area where you can indulge yourself in tax-free shopping in the different kinds of shops that can be found along the 10 km main-street. The most popular shops being perfumeries, hi-tech, jewellers, fashion boutiques and of course sports shops.

Freeski, snowboard and telemark

Top free skiers and snowboarders from all over the world come to Livigno to test themselves in the renowned Carosello and Mottolino Snowparks. For telemarkers worldwide, Livigno is considered one of the main destinations for Telemark or the "loose heel".

Après-ski

The après-ski ritual, where wearing ski-boots is a must, is not to be missed. Bars and pubs located at the end of the pistes as well as in the town centre offer live music, DJs and dancing. Here fun and entertainment is guaranteed during your winter holiday.

Nordic Skiing

There are 30 km of cross-country skiing trails winding along the whole valley, from Forcola to the lake area, crossing the “Marianna Longa competition track” in the Ski Stadium where La Sgambeda starts and finishes. La Sgambeda is the international nordic skiing marathon competition which officially opens the racing season every December.

Horse riding

One of the best loved activities for those who enjoy being immersed in nature both in summer and winter. From the stables you can reach the forests that encompass the town, while in summer you can even reach the mountain pastures.

Snowshoes

The Freeride project has allocated specific paths to be used solely by those using snowshoes, thereby removing potential risks.

Nightlife

The nightlife here makes Livigno one of the most enjoyable locations for young people looking for entertainment during their winter holiday. All night fun is guaranteed whether you are in a pub or a disco.
